The year seems to have gone by so fast,
and christmas is already here.
What I love most about christmas ,
is having friends and family near.
For the ones that live further away,
they are in my thoughts and a card has been sent.
But at this time of year I can't help but think,
about whats happened through the year and what its all meant.
Its not been the best of years,
a mixture of things good and bad.
I've had to battle with my feelings,
causing those near to me to be sad.
I never meant or planned for what has happened,
hurting my nearest and dearest I certainly never meant to do.
Deciding on the right thing to do has been tough,
and even now I am stuggling to get through.
But christmas means so much to the kids,
and its a time to be full of cheer.
So I am going to be happy and enjoy,
seeing my kids faces alight and having them near.
All the bad things that have happened ,
are so easily forgotten at this time of year.
I am going to end this poem by wishing everyone a very happy christmas,
