Every second I forget about you,
is a moment of relief in my take.
And every time I remember you,
I try to let it go but I can't fake.
Convince myself to hold it all in,
but I love you too much to smile.
When your gone every one asks,
put my hands in the air I'm on trial.
Separate myself from who I know,
hide away behind the books I read.
Those who stare and wait for laughs,
off of every tear I shed they feed.
Breathe the dust upon my shelves,
that gather in the silence of night.
Look into the dark I can now see,
through windows shines moonlight.
Watch the sun set when I'm alone,
see it nightly unless the clouds stay.
Longing to see the coloured skies,
but all is lifeless for it's gray today.
