For yet another day
One where peace is here,
Not just somewhere near
I wish this day could come
On Earth as in heavenly kingdom
Where love blinds hateful eye
and mercy reigns from above the sky
I hope that there is still hope
Our hearts on fire, not just smoke
Words all said in eternal praise
Lifted above may our songs raise
I pray this world may be enlightened
Shadows cast out; The Way is brightened
Our faith be to us a guide to life
A key to joy, an understanding of strife
I wish, I hope, I pray
For yet another day
One where God is here
And everywhere far and near
