In the beginning
you're scared to touch
its the cuties you fear
oh so much.
then you notice
what the older kids do
its the sacred kiss
this is new.
you're getting close
on the playground at school
all you can think
is don't be a fool.
holding hands
on the school bus
concealing it all
so you don't make a fuss.
you're friends think it's weird
but what do they know
you're the guy with the girl
they've got nothing to show.
you think its great
you're awesome and cool
you're king of the world
even though its just elementary school.
