Let's have that teenage love story,
Like the ones you read in books,
The one where we fall deep in love,
Where we don't fall apart.
See, in our love story we fell in lust,
But we both thought it was love,
I gave my heart to you baby,
And then you tore me apart.

I wish our love story was better,
That it'd be happy in the end,
I wish it was like the movies,
But nothing's real on that damn movie screen.
Where's my happy-ever-after?
I think I got a dud,
I'll call the factory tomorrow,
Not like it will help.

I've really been screwed over this time,
My happy-ever-after sucks,
I always get the short end of the stick,
Oh boy, just my luck.
This isn't much of a teenage love story,
It's more like a tragedy,
I'm sick of this twisted love story,
And my broken happy-ever-after.
